After trying numerous different brands, we have learned that the Simms Wading Staff is far superior to all the others. It comes in two lengths, either 52" or 56". The sectional staff breaks down to fit in a self-draining thermo-molded foam holster. The coated wire cable secures sections the ski-pole grip keeps staff secure in hand and includes a wading staff retractor. Most importantly it is very easy to open on the stream and is very secure when open. It is also extremely easy to close.
